Privacy Policy

Effective October 24, 2026. Quiklnk is operated by Legendary Solutions LLC (“Quiklnk”, “we”). This policy covers quiklnk.com, shared video pages on share.quiklnk.com, and the online services used by the Quiklnk desktop app. Questions and requests: privacy@quiklnk.com.

When you watch a shared video

Shared video pages set one cookie, __Host-quiklnk-viewer. It holds a random ID and nothing else. It lasts up to 400 days and is renewed when you return. It lets us recognise the same browser again, so six visits from one browser count as one viewer.

When you start playing a video, we record a view. A view contains: the cookie ID; your IP address; the approximate location (country, region, city) and network name that the IP address indicates; your browser, operating system and device type, including the browser’s identification string; screen size, processor core count, approximate memory, language and time zone; the page that linked you to the video, if your browser reports one; the time; which parts of the video played, how far you got and total playback time including replays; and your Quiklnk account if you are signed in. Opening a page without playing the video does not record a view.

We record this so that the person who shared a video can learn whether it was watched and how much. View records are visible to Quiklnk and may be shown to the account that shared the video. We may label a cookie ID or an IP address with a name when we know who it belongs to. We do not use view records for advertising, we do not combine them with data bought from other companies, and no third-party analytics or advertising scripts run on shared video pages.

You can block or delete the cookie in your browser; each visit will then look like a new viewer, and the other details above are still recorded when you play a video. We keep the full view record for 12 months. After that we remove the IP address, the region, city and network, the device details, the referring page and any account, and keep only the cookie ID, country, browser and device type, and how much was watched. Everything is deleted when the recording is deleted, or sooner if you ask us to delete yours.

Visitors in the European Union, European Economic Area and United Kingdom

Quiklnk is operated from the United States and is not directed to people in these regions. If you watch a shared video from one of them, we do not set the viewer cookie and we do not keep your IP address, device details, referring page or account. We keep only an anonymous count: the country, the time, and how much of the video played.

Accounts and recordings

Accounts are by invitation. We store your email address, and sign-in (email and password) is handled by our authentication provider. Signing in sets session cookies that are needed to keep you signed in and to protect requests; they are not used for tracking.

When you publish a recording we store the final edited video, its transcript, captions, title, summary, chapters, thumbnail, the client it is filed under (for a meeting, also who chose that client and, when Quiklnk chose it, why, which can name a participant) and any private tags. Original, unedited footage stays on your computer and is not uploaded. We keep records of account activity, such as sign-ins, uploads, edits and deletions, and of hosted AI usage, to operate, secure and support the service. Deleting a recording removes its published files and its view records.

Transcription and summaries run on your own computer by default. If you choose hosted AI processing, the recording’s audio and transcript text are sent to our AI providers to produce the transcript, title, summary and chapters.

Who processes data for us

Cloudflare hosts the websites, stores videos and databases, and delivers email notifications. Supabase handles sign-in. OpenRouter, and the model providers it routes requests to, process hosted AI requests when you choose that option. If you add your own Anthropic key, Anthropic receives the transcript text to write the title, summary and chapters. They act on our instructions to provide the service.

Security and request limits

To limit abuse we keep short-lived counters keyed to a scrambled (hashed) form of the requesting IP address. These expire within hours and are not used to identify anyone.

Selling, sharing and your choices

We do not sell personal information and do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. You may ask us what we hold about you, ask for a copy, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by writing to privacy@quiklnk.com. For view records, tell us the approximate dates and videos so we can find them; we may need to confirm the request comes from the device or network concerned. We answer within 45 days and will not treat you differently for asking.

Children

Quiklnk is a business tool. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes

We will post changes here and update the effective date. If a change materially expands what we record, we will update the notice on shared video pages as well.

The waitlist

Quiklnk’s waitlist is for news about beta access and launch availability. Joining does not create a product account.

What we keep, and why

We store your name, email address, signup time, and the version of the email consent you accepted. We use this information to manage the waitlist and send the access and launch updates you requested. We also email the Quiklnk team a notification containing your signup details.

Where it goes

The waitlist is stored in a database hosted by Cloudflare, accessible to the Quiklnk team. It is separate from shared video storage. This website does not use advertising trackers, analytics scripts, or signup cookies. Cloudflare processes connection information to deliver and protect the site; we use your IP address for short-term request limiting and do not store it in the waitlist.

How long we keep it

We keep your waitlist entry while preparing and sending access and launch updates, or until you request removal. There is no announced launch date. We do not sell the waitlist or use it for unrelated marketing.

Request removal

Enter the email you used below. We’ll save a removal request for the team to review and remove the associated waitlist entry. This does not create a new signup. The request is not an instant deletion or an email confirmation.
